Jinyoung started her violin studies at the age of 5, attending Yewon Middle School of Music in Seoul, South Korea. Under the tutelage of Joseph Kim and Boksu Kim, she earned the grand prize in the Music Education Newspaper Competition and first prize in the Baroque Competition in Korea. In 2010, she was featured in the Kumho Prodigy recital series.

Jinyoung has performed with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, and was accepted into the Juilliard Pre-College program, where she won the Pre-College Assemble Competition.

In 2023, she achieved first prize at the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition and subsequently performed as a soloist at the orchestra. During the 2023-2024 season, she was a member of Curtis on Tour, performing as a chamber musician across various venues in the U.S.

In 2024, she appeared as a soloist at the Orchestra of Southern Finger Lakes, and is serving as the Concertmaster at The Curtis Institute of Music.

Her festival engagements include the Yellow Barn Music Festival, Great Mountains International Music Festival, Sejong International Festival, Heifetz International Music Institute's Ashkenasi/Kirshbaum program, and Kronberg Masterclasses.

She entered the Curtis Institute of Music in 2016, studying with Aaron Rosand and Midori Goto. Since 2022, she has been pursuing her Master’s degree under Ida Kavafian and Erin Keefe.
